Born in the electric chair is a series of films produced by UK Punk AF Radio host Paul Hammond.

Following on from his last film release in 2024 ‘Anything Is Possible’ come these new films telling the story of Paul’s musical career spanning 33 years!
Step back into the early 90’s and relive some of those great times!

Part Two – ‘The Electric Chair’ tells the story of GMX Stuns from inception to the bands ultimate implosion with a 5 album deal on the table from major US Producer Kim Fowley.
The stuns story is one that picked up where PSST left off and was great fun. Things changed when the band signed a London management deal and became stifled which led to the band eventually sacking the management which plunged the band into major litigation.

The stuns released their version of ‘Anarchy In The UK’ which drew the attention of former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm Mclaren.

Watch the story as Paul went to London to meet & work with Mclaren.

GMX Stuns famously built their own studio in Rhyl but it was this project that led to the implosion of the band and caused Paul to have a major breakdown leading to drug abuse & attempted suicide.

It became a very dark story that nearly cost lives.

The Stuns story features interviews with Mike Peters, former Stuns members Steve Buckley, Dave Jones, brothers Carl & Stuart Mortimer plus roadie Chunk & local journalist Steve Rastin.

There’s a great soundtrack with remastered original audio & live gig footage together with a ton of photos & posters!
