Carpenter rock! For real! Using a stem extraction tool, I combined Carpenters "Yesterday Once More" vocals with Redd Kross' rock instrumental from the "If I Were A Carpenter" tribute album. The instrumental track's tempo is slowed and key changed to match the Carpenters original recording -- The Royal Philharmonic version was actually used for its improved mastering. Karen Carpenter's vocals required extensive editing to shorten Karen's phrasing to match the rock instrumental track. For instance: "shah-laaah-laaah-laaha" to "shah-lah-lah-lah". For the video, the visualizer is mainly a carousel including the artist logos and song title.
