The 1235 is a fantastic sound. Its popularity is like from Coltrane’s epic solo on “Giant Steps” which extensively uses this little melodic fragment. Here, I’m playing it in the cycle of 4ths. Great for your hands, great for your mind. The cycle of 4ths are incredibly common in music. I’ll be showing how you can take melodic fragments like this and apply them to tunes in the next series. Stick around.
