Who thought we’d end up here?

In her very first lesson with me Billy was super shy… So shy she kept talking so that she didn’t have to sing so much ????

She chose a song by Bruno Mars for that first lesson and while she was singing I kept thinking to myself “why is she singing Bruno Mars??”

After having a chat with her it became clear that she was singing R&B music because that’s what her friends liked and she wanted to please everyone around her.

So I asked her what SHE like and she responded with Joan Jett.

This was when everything changed for her because for the first time she started doing what SHE wanted to do.

Within just 3 months she started rock band, 3 months later they had their first gig, and another couple months later they went on their first ever tour (which is what this clip is from!)

Once she allowed herself to fully express herself through rock music all these things started happening effortlessly for her (not saying it wasn’t a lot of work!! it was, but all the pieces started falling into place).

It’s been 3 years now since I first met Billy and I couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come as a singer and artist.

The whole band just moved to LA so that they can become the rock stars they are meant to be and I couldn’t be more excited to cheer them on from the side lines ????????
