Downearth was formed in 2022 by members of respected bands from Belo Horizonte's metal scene.
Created by the bassist Davidson Mainart (Eminence), vocalist Julimar Fernandes (Raising Conviction), guitarist Raul Duarte (Raising Conviction) and drummer Samuel Bernardo (Paradise in Flames), with the purpose being different and sound different from each member's respective bands.
Releasing their first song "Legions" in 2023, the band matches a style that ranges from alternative metal to grunge and post rock/post metal, with atmospheric, dense, rhythmic and heavy songs, mixing melodies and aggressive, addressing introspective and reflective themes about existentialism, society and the uncertainties of humanity.
