Felix Arndt was born on May 20, 1889.

He died on October 16, 1918.

This American pianist and composer of popular music was the son of Countess Fevrier, who was related to Napoleon III.

His father, Hugo Arndt, was Swiss-born.

He made many piano rolls for Duo-Art and QRS Records.

He died in New York City from the "Spanish flu" influenza.

Arndt is best remembered for his 1915 composition "Nola"--an early example of novelty piano or "novelty ragtime."
