A song Xay wrote about his meant-to-be romance. Indio "stole" the lyrics and turned them into this song, which became Xay's big ballad on stage.

A flash of anger heated Xay’s entire body. He grabbed his boots and a clean shirt and directed her out of the room. “Wynter and I aren’t together. You know that.”
“I don’t know what I know,” Jessica said indignantly, allowing herself to be led down the corridor. “You sang her a love song on stage.”
“It’s just an act.” Maybe he’d overdone the act tonight, aiming a few too many lines in her direction during _Forever Chained._ And of course it was about her. His words. Indio’s music.
Every rockstar needs a big emotional number.
Outside the green room, he crouched against the wall to pull on his boots.
Jessica moved the conversation along. “That bathroom is pokey. You deserve better.”
He chuckled. “No kidding. I had an awesome private room in Sydney.” And wished he hadn’t. “What’s the food like in there? I could murder a party pie.”
“Corn chips and salsa.”
He groaned. “Well, something’s better than nothing. Nothing’s what I used to get when I was a nobody in a pub band back in Sacramento.”
“So, other than the food, how’s the rockstar life suiting you?”
He had no answer. Was he a rockstar yet? And if so, what kind of rockstar did he want to be? The Aussie press loved him for his natural performance and self-effacing humor. They’d reclaimed him as one of their own and he already had what they called a cult following. He could be that kind of star, basically himself but in the public eye, or he could be the moody demanding kind of star who complains about everything from mold in the shower and chips and dip at the small venues, to a luxury dressing room and unidentifiable finger food at the stadium venues.
