Talk about an oldie…”Greensleeves” (also played as "What Child Is this" at Christmastime) is an English ballad as old as the 16th century, yet it remains one of the most recognizable songs in the world. And yes, it can be played on the banjo. Here it is played clawhammer/clawgrass style on a Deering Clawgrass 2, with a backing track generated by Band-In-A-Box. I’m playing in D minor, using standard G tuning with the fifth string tuned up to A.
