Happy first birthday to my musical child

He’s growing up quick!! Thanku so much to everyone that’s showed an immense amount of love and support this past year. I appreciate each and every one of U!!

It’s been beautiful to see how this song has connected with so many of you, and helped people connect with themselves and one another too. Being able to alchemise the struggles of the past 10 years and put it into music has been one of the most cathartic processes for me.

The day we shot the video, I remember thinking we’d absolutely butchered it because we filmed in a basement we didnt have permission to use and got kicked out halfway through filming. I remember leaving feeling like we hadn’t got the take, and feeling gutted because it was the last chance we got to film before I went to canada for medical treatment. Turns out it did pretty well


It’s insane how an idea from my bedroom has made such an impact in such a short period of time. There’s no better feeling than seeing an idea and a concept be brought to life, especially something as personal as this. And then to be appreciated by so many people, it’s mind blowing.

Putting a part of yourself you normally hide on display for the world to see is pretty daunting, but have zero regrets.
