METRIC is a cooperative network of several leading European conservatories and the European Association of Conservatories of Music with the aim to focus on the modernization of higher music education through intensive international cooperation in the field of improvisation.

After being relocated twice for pandemic reasons, this year the School of Music and Theatre Leipzig is hosting students and teachers from the 16 partner institutions, as well as numerous observers.

And there we were: meeting, learning, teaching, creating, performing, and thus celebrating and enjoying improvisation in all its facets.

So, big thanks to Leipzig, the city of music and the world of Improvisation!
