On 1998, Modern Talking released a remake titled You're My Heart, You're My Soul '98, which was also sold successfully. To reunite the duo, they brought in rapper Eric Singleton and reached number two on the singles charts. Modern Talking was a German duo, from Germany ????????, composed of musicians Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen, having had success, mainly in the 80s. It was the most successful pop duo in Germany, and in a way, shaped the musical history of the 1980s. Eric Newkirt Singleton, also known as Eric XL Singleton or XLarge, is an American ???????? former rapper who has appeared in many dance music productions, most notably Modern Talking. Since 1994 he has worked with different music producers. He has worked with unknown bands in Germany such as Face II Face, Deep Down and Cool Cut. He is best known for his appearances as a rapper on Modern Talking. After falling out with Modern Talking about his solo career, he split from the group and moved back to Georgia, USA. In 2006 "XLarge", as he is called by fans, returned to Germany. He has since returned to work on his solo career.
