One of the best ways to learn both the notes of a key and the chords of a key, and to connect chords with scales, is to practice your scale patterns in three note TRIAD ARPEGGIOS! It’s great for technique, and note/chord memorization, and it’s also a cool melodic device that will start to come out in your solos once you master it! In the 30 minute youtube lesson I just put out, we go through a few variations of this exercise in a couple of different scale patterns and in a minor key too. In that lesson I also demonstrate how you can use this over a blues, and practice it creatively. If you like these fretLIVE fretboard animations, check out my Triad Triumph course to go really deep on triads, or my fretLIVE Fretboard Mastery Program where we go over the theory you need from the very beginning and apply it to learning songs and creating music, each step of the way!
