Ścianka is a Polish band founded in 1994 in Sopot by Maciej Cieślak, a composer, vocalist, guitarist, and producer. Initially formed as a trio with drummer Arkadiusz Kowalczyk and bassist Wojciech Michałowski, Ścianka quickly gained recognition as one of the most important acts in Poland's alternative rock scene.

Ścianka made their major debut in 1998 with the album "Statek kosmiczny", released by the independent label Biodro Records. The album was immediately acclaimed for its originality, energy, and bold approach to rock music.
