Nice inside glimpse here of the making of a masterpiece. Ed originally wrote this song as a parody of the exploding punk scene, using only 2 chords and a 1 string solo. He thought it sucked, and it took him months to work up the nerve to present it to the band. Roth saw the potential and they worked up lyrics and polished it up, especially the simple but powerful Am palm muted arpeggio intro. Also added an electric sitar to the 1 string solo, and this satirical song turned into one of their greatest hits, and a staple at concerts for decades to come.

I have had some comments along the line of "Thats not new, I have heard it before" ect ,, I can assure you, I am not trying to present these as something new, something never heard before. Some are indeed tough to track down, others are widely available. Many folks don't have the resource to find tracks like this, and I only offer the convenience of listening to them with a click of the mouse, and downloading for your own collection if desired.
